Rotaract Peace Award
In the spirit of "Service above Self," Rotaract Club of Georgetown University offers a $1,000 grant to the best project dedicated to the promotion of peace. The money will serve to catapult a small-scale initiative into a truly world-changing project.
Criteria for Project Selection
The project will be assessed by the committee based on the following criteria:
Structure
How structured the project is? Is it just an idea or an ongoing initiative? The more structured, the better.
Relevance
How relevant is the project? What is the scale (local, national, international)? Does it address an important issue for the promotion of peace?
Feasibility
How doable is the project? Is it too megalomaniacal? At least as important as being relevant is being feasible.
Competence
Demonstrated competence of members. We are looking for people with demonstrated capacity, who will have higher chances of implementing the project with success.
How to Apply
Applicants must upload the information below to the link above before the deadline on October 31 with:
Short description of project (100-word limit)
Statement of purpose – How will the grant benefit the project and what do you plan to do with it? (150-word limit)
CV of at least one member (email this to rotaract@georgetown.edu)
Extra material: only if it is relevant and will add perspectives absent in the mandatory material.

Who can apply?
Anyone representing an initiative that promotes or seeks to promote peace.
Results
The winning project will be revealed on November 2nd at the Rotaract Peace and Conflict Resolution Conference 2019.
